Myanmar Unicode Keyboard:

It’s the first keyboard fully support Myanmar with predictions and smart combinations, to type faster. It also supports Zawgyi and Unicode fonts.

The civil war between the fonts ( Zawgyi and Unicode) for Myanmar script has been brewing for over 10 years.

Currently, most people write their Myanmar text with a local encoding system called Zawgyi. But it is not ready for advanced language processing and database storing which can only be made with Unicode.

Keyboard layouts:

The Myanmar Unicode Keyboard supports a number of keyboard layouts. Each layout has its own default mappings between the hardware key codes and the corresponding ISO layout positions.

There are three basic types of keyboard layout: the core, which contains the main set of keys; a shifted layout, which moves letters to different positions on the keyboard; and a custom layout, which adds specific characters for the user’s needs.

The core keyboard layout is also known as the alpha block and is the primary set of key values used to type the target language. It consists of the three rows of letters on a standard US QWERTY keyboard (QWERTYUIOP, ASDFGHJKL, ZXCVBNM) together with the most significant punctuation keys.

There are a variety of keyboard layouts for different languages, but most of them share similar features, such as a tilde, a backquote, and a circumflex accent. Some even support grave accents and interpuncts, which are not available in the core keyboard layout.

Auto-correction:

Auto-correction is a feature that makes typing faster. It automatically corrects mistakes like typos, wrong letters, and slashes in the text you type.

It is available in many languages including English, Spanish, German, French, and Italian. This is one of the most important features to have if you’re trying to type in a foreign language.

Another important feature to have is a good dictionary. It is a great way to quickly look up words that you are unfamiliar with or aren’t sure of the meaning.

The best part is that it’s free and will never collect your personal information or share it with anyone. It’s a great choice for everyone who wants to type in a foreign language with ease and convenience.

As the country moves toward a new font system, tech companies and social media websites are already signing up to support the change by automatically converting between Zawgyi and Unicode. This can help a lot of Myanmar users transition to the new system without a huge hassle or time investment.

Fonts:

Many smartphone users in Myanmar are familiar with the Zawgyi font. It is a popular choice for writing in Burmese and is found on most devices sold in the country.

However, it is not Unicode compliant and so will not display correctly in tools and resources that use Unicode encoding, such as web pages. This can have a significant impact on the usability of tools for Burmese speakers.

This problem has become a major headache for users in Myanmar as well as the local tech community who are developing technologies that serve Burmese audiences. Some browser extensions and tools are available that automatically detect website font encoding and convert between Zawgyi and Unicode to provide the best possible user experience.

Themes:

You can customize the look of your Myanmar Unicode Keyboard with a wide range of themes. These themes include a variety of colors, gradients, and neon styles.

To download and install the app, search for Zawgyi Myanmar Keyboard with Photo Themes in the Google Play listing of your Android device. Once you find it, tap on the install button located below the search bar and to the right of the app icon.

The application will then be downloaded onto your device, displaying a progress indicator. Once it is complete, you’ll receive a notification.

The app is free to download and use. It will never ask for any personal information like passwords or credit card numbers, and it will not share your typed text or data with third parties.
